He's a good person, he just knows it. Even if Curly shrinks away from him and Anya stiffens every time he enters a room. Not his fault they're so easy to scare.

He's a good man. A great captain. And he's not at all going to fuck this up. A ship in the middle of space isn't that big of a problem. It's supposed to be out there anyway.

Except he's starting to question how good of a man he is. He looks into the eyes of his terrified crew and he likes it. Likes knowing he has the power to make them scared of him. It's fucked up, but he doesn't care. Maybe that's what Curly never had. The balls to make someone afraid of him. He should've tried to at least make Jimmy afraid. Maybe then they wouldn't be in this mess if their captain was half the man everyone seemed to say he was. (If Jimmy was half the man he thinks he is, maybe Anya would still have light in her eyes, maybe Curly would be able to smile again. But that's a lot of maybes.)
