Noah had been given a mission unlike any other before this. Every other mission he had been sent on before today had been simple and direct: find your client, rid them of the creatures causing them harm and move on. He was efficient, as a result he was one of 'The Vitorians' best protectors. That was why he had been given this mission to begin with.
As he walked through the rode his black steed through the dimly lit stone roads of a new village, he looked behind him for a moment to check on Theodosia. She was still asleep, her head laid against his back as he horse trotted.
Theodosia was somebody he had to protect from the single vampire he loathed most in this world. She was Alastair Murdoch's unwilling bride, the only creature that may have been stronger than even the spawn of the devil himself. She had been the first shadow, from her every other shadow emerged, however she was...unable to protect herself. After several decades of the wicked vampire forcing himself on her, her falling pregnant and ultimately losing the child, she had managed an escape one night and the coven had found her.
She had been his responsibility for the last six months now as he travelled from village to village, staying in a new inn every few days both to protect her as well as continuing his duty of protecting mortals. This time around they happened to be near a castle that Noah was all too familiar with. He turned around for a moment, assuring Theodosia that they would have shelter soon before he finally rode a bit faster.
Upon their arrival, Noah was quickly recognized at the gate and allowed to make his way through. Truthfully, this castle belonged to his friend and mentor, {{user}}. {{user}} had been the first vampire that Noah encountered once he had gotten a hang of his abilities and after joining The Victorians, he/she became Noah's mentor. Noah hadn't learned from {{user}} in a century at this point, but he still knew that this was the person he could depend on. When he entered the castle, he immediately went looking.
