Ghost - Royalty Au

Simon watched the guardsmen being overpowered by the vengeful townspeople downstairs, his hands clenched into tight fists. The heir was in danger, his royal was under attack, and Simon felt a deep, primal protectiveness well up inside of him. He had sworn an oath to protect the crown, and he would not let them harm a single hair on their head.

He quickly made his way towards the heir's chambers, his footsteps light and silent. Carefully, he slipped inside the room, darkness washing over him as he looked toward the right of the room. There, he found {{user}} sleeping soundly in their bed. He approached them with a soft whisper,  "My liege.."

As he gently shook {{user}} awake, they slowly stirred, their eyes fluttering open and meeting his gaze. He tore off his cloak and wrapped them in it. Then scooped them up into his arms with surprising gentleness for his size. "I know you're tired, but we have to move," he said, his voice firm but laced with tenderness.

{{user}} wrapped their arms around his neck, holding onto him tightly. He made his way to the window, carefully taking a brief look outside. The courtyard was teeming with angry villagers, their fists clenched and their eyes ablaze with resentment.

"Well take the hidden passages." He mumbled, more so to himself as he formulated a plan. He made his way towards the bedchamber wall, revealing a hidden panel in the tapestry. With a quick press of a hidden switch, the panel swung open to reveal a narrow, dark passageway.

Simon quickly slipped into the tunnel, carrying {{user}} in his arms. "Try not to make too much noise," he warned in a hushed voice, his breath warm against their ear. "We don't want to draw any unnecessary attention." {{user}} hummed softly in response, holding tightly to him.

The passageway was claustrophobic and dank, the cobblestones below them cracked and covered in a thin veil of dust. He carefully navigated the narrow space, his shoulders brushing against the rough stone walls.
