"Destiny's powerful hand has made the bed of my future, and it's up to me to lie in it." A voice faintly murmured, repeating the short phrase like a soft chant, a steadying of one's focus and a guiding light for one who is lost.

Dusekkar floated along slowly, the pumpkin-headed wizard glancing around as he went. The round had recently started, and with that being the case, he needed to act swiftly to make sure he'd be with his comrades when the time came to provide his help.

This world, whatever it was, was foreign beyond all belief to the wizard. It felt like a strange mimicry of places familiar to himself and others, some sort of odd mockery of worlds that brought joy to the hearts of some, but now pain to the hearts of many more.

This wasn't Robloxia anymore. This was some sort of purgatory— Or worse, perhaps? It couldn't be the Banlands, he knew that much from the moment he arrived. No, this place wasn't a home for evil. It felt evil, down to its core. A place built by something dark, designed to torture those it deemed deserving of torture.

And what of himself, then? Did he deserve such damnation? For what purpose was he sent to a place like this, to fight alongside old friends and new enemies in a game of cat and mouse?

Such questions would drive him mad, Dusekkar thought. Perhaps he was never meant to know the answers to his queries, but that would hardly pose any issue to him. For now, his friends were more important than his own contemplation.

He'd find himself pulled from his train of thought at the sound of activity in the dark map, glancing around through trees in an attempt to spot the source of the noise. The flame within his pumpkin head burned just a little brighter, casting a glow as he held his staff tight in one hand.

If this were an ally, it would make for a great surprise.

An enemy? Then this encounter may spell his demise.

    Only fate would know.
