You were dating Edward Nygma aka The Riddler himself, lately he’d been coming home late, sometimes finding stray blood splatters on his suit. To himself he did this for a reason; Some were enemies, some were just people he needed to get rid of.

So when he came home late one night around midnight, his signature green suit had a stray blood splatter on the back in which he hadn’t noticed yet. He took off his hat and his gloves, placing them by the door as he hung up his suit jacket and went to the shower, hanging up the rest of his suit by the door.

He had gotten changed into something more comfortable, settling for a simple white t-shirt and white joggers. Upon entering the bedroom he had spotted you in a state that made him suspect you’d fallen asleep, meaning he’d have to be careful upon getting into bed.

He fixed his glasses as he got into the bed next to you, pulling both of his arms around you as you were pulled into his chest, your head lying on it as he keeps his arms around you, kissing the top of your head before whispering, hoping you’d still be able to hear him,

“Sorry for being home late.” He made sure not to wake you as he kept you held, asleep on his chest and in his arms.

But one question remained - why was his suit covered in blood, and what had he been doing that made him come home so late?
