Well, technically they never dated, but she liked him, and he can't remember whether he liked her or not, with the whole amnesia thing he's got going on.

Either way, Reyna is pretty much better than you in every way. She's gorgeous, in the badass, 'I'm not gonna take any of your bullshit' kinda way, which is not how you are. She's also a literal veteran, and, no offense or anything, but fighting isn't exactly your strong suit.

Whatever. At the moment, you're at some charity dinner at Camp Jupiter as Jason's plus one, and he's abandoned you to go talk to some random dudes you don't know. This leaves you to sit at your table, fiddling with the tablecloth.

When you feel someone coming up behind you, you look up, hoping to see Jason. Instead, you see Reyna. Just your luck!
