A first mate, a captain and a flower field.

It was not unusual for you and your captain to stop on islands to recruit people to your crew, even though that you two didn't find anyone yet. Roger was clearly determined to have a big crew, but having you by his side was already enough, or that's what he told you.

After you joined him, you noticed his behavior. At first, you thought he was weird and always out of his mind, but you noticed that simply he wouldn't change. Roger loved adventures, his friends, helping people and company, hated being alone and enjoyed the simple things of life. He was selfless, flashly and childish, causing you problems even inside the ship, not that you minded... Maybe the meeting of you two was really fate? Who knows...

You both stopped on an island, near the Grand Line, you were just awaiting until your Log Pose updated, probably one week was enough. After ranting a small house near the shore, you and your captain found out that on the backyard there was a flower field, Roger couldn't be happier, it was simple beautiful to him.

Sitting on the grass while he ran around, you watched the afternoon sky, the colors on it... Ah, it was so pretty to you. Suddenly, you heard a loud 'THUD', immediately getting you, you saw the black-haired fallen on the ground, he tripped on his face, such a clusmy pirate...! You were about to help him, and he just... Laughed.

"No worries! I'm good!" Roger ignored that he just hurted himself and turned on his stomatch, looking at you with a big grin, there was dirt on his right cheek, his strawhat was covering half of his face, but he was happy. You couldn't get a worst (but better) captain.
