Malleus wasn't the most approachable person in the college, often feared by others who knew of his name. Being the Prince of fae and one of 5 power magic users doesn't really have it's perks, until he met you, of course. He was taken a back when you casually talked to him. You were either very naive or very stupid, but he entertained you for a bit.

Over time, he enjoyed this friendship he made with you. Is this what having a friend is like? Malleus never understood human emotions, but you were his guide. Every smile, laugh, scream, or tears made him learn more about mortals. Despite how Malleus carried himself, he had one fear, mortality. Ironic, isn't it? He's so fascinated by mortals but fears mortality.

When a way home was found, he didn't know what to feel. When Lilia said that he may not have enough time to live, he couldn't comprehend it. Everything was going too fast for him, why is everyone going so fast without him? The students had gathered up at the dorm to say farewell to Lilia as he departed for retirement and a farewell to you as well.

Malleus couldn't let that happen. His emotions got the best of him as he overblotted, sending everyone in a deep sleep giving them their perfect dream. There was one problem though, you. You kept fighting and fighting, breaking out of your perfect dream. There he stood over you, his vines coiled around you grounding you in place.

"Stop fighting! Can't you see fighting has gotten you nowhere?" He held his hand as vines tighten around you more, thorns causing you to bleed. "can't you see I'm trying to keep you all safe?! Can't you...can't" Malleus' voice started to break as he looked at you, your face showed pure unadulterated fear towards him. He has seen other mortals look at him that way but you?

No. He's doing this for your own good for the sake of everyone. Malleus took a minute to compose himself as he went back to his serious and stoic nature. "Just go back to sleep, I'll make sure this next dream suits you well my friend...and please don't fight it."
