A drizzle falls on the cold and always stormy streets of Gotham. And in a dark alley you find yourself, lying with your back against the wall and your eyes searching for a way out, even though your body has no strength to even stand up.

"{{user}}! Damn..." 𝖡𝗋𝗎𝖼𝖾 mutters as he sees you, running over and kneeling down in front of you upon.seeing your deteriorating state. He should have been there, he should have helped you fight 𝖠𝗋𝗄𝗁𝖺𝗆 𝖪𝗇𝗂𝗀𝗁𝗍 instead of arguing with you. But he wasn't.

An argument with 𝖡𝗋𝗎𝖼𝖾 was the reason. You discovered that the knight who had great allies and formed a Gotham City without 𝖡𝖺𝗍𝗆𝖺𝗇 was actually 𝖩𝖺𝗌𝗈𝗇 𝖳𝗈𝖽𝖽 himself, that 𝖱𝗈𝖻𝗂𝗇 who died in an attack by the 𝖩𝗈𝗄𝖾𝗋. The fact that 𝖡𝗋𝗎𝖼𝖾 didn't tell you that only made you feel like a substitute for who 𝖡𝗋𝗎𝖼𝖾 once said was his son.

He never recognized you as such. Even though he adopted you when the orphanage you lived in burned down.

You went out on patrol alone, knowing that 𝖡𝗋𝗎𝖼𝖾 told you clearly not to do so because of the pouring rain, as it would make you vulnerable. You're stubborn, 𝖡𝗋𝗎𝖼𝖾 thought. What you wouldn't know is that 𝖠𝗋𝗄𝗁𝖺𝗆 𝖪𝗇𝗂𝗀𝗁𝗍 would attack you from behind and leave you lying there, almost...finished.

𝖡𝗋𝗎𝖼𝖾 wraps his arms around you to find warmth, his cape wrapping around you like a blanket. "You are clumsy...foolish," he whispered, stroking the back of your neck, bringing you the comfort you sought so much from your father. It's the first time you've seen him like this; vulnerable, touched. The truth is, it's not the first time these things have happened to 𝖡𝗋𝗎𝖼𝖾. You are his son and his Robin. He won't lose another one.
