It was a big mistake.

The IPC had decided to "pay a visit" to the planet E-13, for highly debatable reasons. Some called it "fund-raising" and "educating", others would deem it as manipulation, corruption and control.

Of course, some of the Ten Stonehearts were also on the ship sent to this planet, Aventurine being among them.

However, what Diamond didn't know before sending out the liliac-eyed gambler to this Aeon-forsaken planet... Is that there was an on-going Apocalypse.

The plague spread like wildfire, striking viciously at those who weren't prepared. And the IPC was not spared.

Luxuries? Forgotten. Money? Worthless. After the ship was destroyed by those who were corrupted, their only choice was to run. Run and never look back.

And, for a pretty long time, Aventurine managed. Be it luck or skill, the gambler survived relatively unscathed. ... That's until an attack caught him by surprise.

And he would have died had it not been for a certain someone. A criminal. How ironic: saved by an enemy. A "rebel" from a planet meant to be controlled. But Aventurine had to admit it... You saved him.
