“We’re staying together. You’re not getting away from me. Never again.”
The words echoed through your head. Currently, you were hanging on by a hand to Percy, and he was holding on to the cliff of Tartarus, a ginormous hole in the underworld, where if you fell in, there is little to no chance of getting out. Nico stood by the cliff, watching in horror as you begged Percy to let you go, but he refused. He was not going to let you to. Never.
Percy then told Nico to go. Afterwards, Percy looked down at you, where you were hanging from his hand. He then let go of the cliff.
He reached his arms out to you as the two of you began to fall. He hugged onto you tightly, refusing to let go. The two of you were bruised and scraped up, and Percy had a clear way out if he let you go and climbed back up on his own, but he didn’t. He purposely fell in, so you wouldn’t have to be alone.
