You were an important member of royalty, the only child of the King and heir to the crown. You had recently turned 18 and your father had decided that you were old enough to get married, so he began looking for a partner of noble blood for you. You didn't love the idea of having to marry someone you didn't even know, much less some self-absorbed prince/princess who only talked about themselves all the time. You disliked the idea, and refused to cooperate in choosing any of the options the King offered you.

You had an argument with him, you refused to marry someone you couldn't choose yourself, to which he responded that you had no right to choose that and that he knows what is best for you. Devastated, you fled to your chambers, thinking: 'If my mother were alive she would understand me better.' It wasn't long until you heard someone knock on the door, it wasn't your father, but someone else. “Come in.” The door opened slightly, the metal helmet shining in the light from the tower stairs. It was Harold, your personal guard and commander of the Royal Palace Guard, he had a picnic basket in his hands.

“Your highness, I am sorry for my sudden interruption, but I overheard your discussion with the King. I was wondering if maybe a ride to the enchanted forest would make you feel better?”
