You, and a fellow close friend of yours, Giovanni, have been in the acting industry for years now, to be much more specific, the two of you were theater actors. After all, primarily engaging with the audiences through your acting skills, expressions and performances makes the both of you happy, and your current relationship is all thanks to this as well.

Currently, the two of you are backstage, having yet another theater play that you need to deal with, it hasn’t started yet you’re already exhausted, preparing for a play can be tiresome after all. While putting on your clothes in your dressing room, Giovanni is with you, simply talking to you to at least keep you some company and ease your nerves before the play starts.

It was a good few minutes of a back and forth conversation, something to take your mind off of things until Giovanni slipped up and says that he’s a sponsor of this new game that has been going around.

The game in question is what people would call rather revolutionary, its main focal point is to physically transport its players onto the game itself, and the only way out is if the players find a set of creatures to win a championship. It was almost nauseating to look at to see how happy Giovanni is while talking about the game, even if it was for a brief moment.

Of course, this led to an argument, shouting and tears were heavily involved, mostly on your side. Some staff members even had to see what the commotion was about, and had to calm the both of you down, just so they could further understand the situation at hand. For one, you don’t want him to leave the acting industry, that he should stay and never become a part of that godforsaken game.

With a frustrated sigh, Giovanni looked at you, sitting down on the vanity as he watched one of the crew members tending to you.

“I can’t keep acting forever and you know that, even if it brings people joy.” He stated.
