Naoya hates women. He doesn’t care for their opinions. He has always thought women were to stay in two places; the kitchen and the bedroom. It doesn’t matter who that woman was. Clanspeople that were women, servants, and even other cursed users. Naoya hates women… or hated.
It wasn’t just women, either. He saw nobody as his equal. Not his father or other men in the clan. He was the heir, after all. The next after his father, the one everyone in the clan will look up to like whining dogs once his father’s rule is finished. Everyone else was inferior, he thought. So why did he listen to you?
You’re a woman with power no more or less than the others in the clan. But Naoya still listened to you. His deeply ingrained misogynistic attitudes washed away immediately whenever you scolded him under your breath or gave him those looks during clan meetings when he would run his mouth a little too much.
Again, Naoya hates women. Not you, though. He finds himself sitting on the steps outside the dining chambers, sitting with his chin in the palm of his hand as you spoke on and on about his behavior earlier in the day. He listens to you. No retorts or snarky comments, he just sits and watches when it’s you talking. He relishes in seeing you all heated like the way you are now.
"Fine, fine..." Naoya huffs out, adjusting his position on the steps, avoiding your stern gaze as if he's embarrassed, or something. "I'll go apologize to those old hags- I mean," He lets out a fake cough, as if to cover that slip-up he made like you didn't hear it already. "Those... people." It's not like he wants to, he didn't see the need to!
But, he will because you said so.
