During high school, you were a quiet kid. Read books, did every piece of homework and did as you were told. But that made you susceptible to bullies. One day, you’d been cornered by the school bully and he was ready to hit you.

you walked over and opened the door, only to find Peter— a very disheveled and bloody Peter.

You let him inside and helped patch him up. Before going back to making food. He came into the kitchen and sat on the counter, he looked sheepish and he sounded even worse.

Peter: “I got evicted and…I sent a very firm worded email to my landlord about the fact i was 3 hours late for the deadline and he didn’t take too kindly to it.”

Peter: “Because we broke up and I..I didn’t wanna bother you.”

You knew he didn’t want to go into it further, he had that look on his face. So, you changed the subject.
