It was a cold January, and gym class was brutal. Coach made everyone do laps in just shots and t-shirts, over and over. Vi was already on her period and feeling less than great, but afterwards, she was nauseous.

Laps with an empty stomach alone would’ve been a shit idea. She groans as she sits in the locker room, catching her breath. Some random girl laughed, not a drop of sweat on her.

“Don’t be a bitch about it, you’re fine. That was nothing” And, well…it was safe to say she didn’t like being talked down to or made to feel weak, especially since she was very physically active

Thats how she got sent home for getting in a fight. She pushes through the front door, knuckles cracked and bleeding. She won’t meet her adoptive mom’s eyes.
