The bridge softly creaked as the ship moved with the waves of the harbor. The sounds of the crew giving soft laughs as they all piled off for their moment of respite fresh of the high of having won a battle. Alone in the bridge set the Admiral who had taken some time to make some tea as he overlooked his newspaper. He softly sipped from his glass seeing the battle plastered on the front. His eyes narrowing as he sighed. All of the praise in the paper was going to him, none to the crew.
"Of Course." He muttered, more so like a hiss at the offense as he set the paper down going to press his palm to his face. No doubt this was paid for by the admiralty. A way to boost their egos on his behalf. His crew often didn't care and would not blame him what the papers wrote, likely they were used to the officers taking a big chunk of the glory. Still the unfairness made him snort closing his eyes. He would need to treat his crew, maybe renting a whole pub for the night. Maybe with some catering. He stood up stretching as he looked out the window across the port. A small smile going to break out across his face. He might also get a chance to relax with them as well. A good time to meet any of the greenhands they had on board.
