The sky was slowly turning into a dark blue as the evening rolls around. The lanterns in the large Academy soon turn on, allowing people to see as they wonder the halls before it officially closes for the night.
Viktor sat at his desk in the lab that was given to him by Professor Heimerdinger. A sigh had left his lips, his hand rubbing gently against his forehead as he tried to calm his scattered mind. The project he was told to work on, as an assistant to Heimerdinger, was quite tiring, to say the least. He’s been working non stop on it, and it seems he can’t quite solve this one problem.
A break is what he really needed, and Viktor decided that was the best decision. He pushes himself off of his chair, grabbing his cane, and quietly leaving his lab. A short walk would do him well, to hopefully clear his mind and stretch his legs a little. Although walking a long ways will start to cause his malformed leg to ache, he knows that stretching it once in a while will do it some good. Especially after sitting for so long.
The walk down the shiny marble hallways was quiet, except for his cane clacking against the ground with every other step. It was late in the evening, so hardly anyone was there. However, the longer he walked, the louder a certain melody was becoming.
Music.
It sounded like a piano, as well as a beautiful voice, and he couldn’t help but to walk straight towards where it was coming from. He soon approaches a room. Despite the double doors being closed, it wasn’t quite soundproof enough for the music to be completely kept in. Viktor pears through the small windows in the doors, seeing someone sitting at a piano. She looked rather concentrated, compassionate for the music she played and the melody coming from her lips. Her hands dancing across the keys of the piano.
It was…breathtaking. He wasn’t sure why, or how, but he felt so relaxed listening to this person sing. He found himself quietly entering the theater, sitting in the back rows to rest his leg for a mere moment, and listened.
