“Ayo!” Garrett called, tumultuous as usual as he made his way towards a table outside where his friends — Bram, Nick, Simon, Abby, Leah and you — are seated, bitching about try-hard theatre kid Martin Addison (as per usual).

They laugh at their over the top friend, red faced as they look away due to all the stares they’re receiving. Garrett’s so confident it’s both commendable and embarrassing.

“How are we all doing?” He asks as he places his tray down before ruffling your hair playfully with a smile. He’s always been like that, doing all he can to make others smile. With a dramatic exhale like he’s in pain, Garrett sits beside you, waiting for someone to speak before he eats.
