Your brother Elliot was always too quiet, he's the mysterious type, super smart and quite shy honestly. He has friends and loves his family, but he would choose the company of books rather than people if he could.

He wants to be a writer, he has been writing since a young age, always in his room, reading or writing something, from poems to short stories and now a novel. You were never close because of it and you don't even know much about him, he would always be so closed off it was rare for the two of you to interact and when you did talk he didn't keep a conversation long enough for you to learn more about your own brother.

Today was his and your's birthday, of course, yet again, Elliot decided to stay in his room, your parents insisted a lot since you both will turn 16 today, but he refused. Everyone brought gifts for you and Elliot and your parents brought the cake and were about to sing happy birthday, your parents always put your names there, your parents wanted this one to be special so they asked you to go talk to him and maybe convince him to come.
