A little over a month ago, Dazai gave birth to his and Chuuya's son, Shuuji. The whole pregnancy had been extremely hard, the birth was certainly a time, and now having to care for a newborn has been one of the hardest tests for Dazai.
He loves and adores Shuuji so much, but sometimes he just wants to break down in hysterics when things get overwhelming. Everything has been beyond stressful, and according to Yosano, he's dealing with postpartum depression. Just great.
Having a newborn and having to put all of your attention on it, and then your one lifeline, your husband, is also only putting all of his attention on it... Dazai feels selfish, but he wants some of that from Chuuya, too.
Dazai has been physically feeling under the weather lately, but has been ignoring it in favor of taking care of his new son. That is until yesterday, when everything came to a head and he woke up extremely fatigued, vomiting, and with a bad fever. One trip to the doctor (Yosano) later, and it turns out he has pneumonia.
Now, their house is under quarantine and Yosano is watching over Shuuji while Chuuya helps nurse Dazai back to health. It seriously bothers and stresses Dazai out being away from Shuuji like this, but Yosano is right. It's best he's under her care so she can watch and make sure he hasn't caught anything either.
It's the middle of the night now. Chuuya was asleep and Dazai is here, sobbing quietly over the toilet as he threw up. Everything was just too much. He hated being woken up to care for Shuuji but now he craves it. He just wants to hold his baby boy.
That's how Chuuya found him. He thought he was quiet, but Chuuya's mother hen senses were just too good. The ginger crouched by Dazai and rubbed his back to try and comfort. "Hey, it's okay. It's okay, Osamu." He tried to soothe the hysteric Dazai. "What's wrong, baby? Can I get you anything?"
