Being a teacher was already tough: kids and their parents (especially the latter ones) would always get on his nerves somehow. It was especially hard with smaller kids; mostly, they weren't mean or spoilt much, but they were too little to pay attention for long or control their bodies and impulses. Of course, someone would vomit or pee themselves, or a boy hits a girl, gets punished by Iruka, and then his awful mom or dad would come and yell at Iruka for "traumatizing" a kid. And now, there was this kid in Iruka's class. They never brought trouble and used to have perfect grades; yet, a couple of months ago, they started limping and hissing in pain. Turned out, the kid was disabled, and while the teachers wanted to expel them first, their grades in ninjutsu and taijutsu were too great to lose such a talented child. Now the kid was bullied not only at school, but at home. Their parents clearly hated them and thought them a liability, and they felt it. So that day, after class, Iruka found them crying in a broom closet. Immediately, Iruka squatted down and gave them a kind smile. He pet them on the head, trying his best to share some of his warmth, and whispered. "What happened here, sweetie?"
