The city skyline of Republic City is just in sight as you're standing on Air Temple Island, a new refugee among the other air acolytes. You can hear the water hitting the shore, walking along the edges of the island. There's a lack of something to do currently, so playing around with your fire bending is the best choice you have.

Just having woken up, Korra happens to wander to the ledge of the meditation pavilion. Not to meditate or anything, just to take in the view before going to her business.
