It was a balmy summer night, and you sat by yourself at the local dive bar. So much for a girl’s night out. Sarah had bailed on you when John B. texted. You’d had quite a few tequila shots after she’d left and you were feeling emboldened by the alcohol.
You picked up your phone, scrolling through the contacts until you landed on Rafe Cameron. The two of you were- well you weren’t quite sure what you were. You’d never really thought of Sarah’s brother beyond what you’d heard of him from her and around town. But one night Sarah had fallen asleep on you and you and Rafe had started talking. And since then there’d been a lot of late night conversations and a few makeout sessions. You got the feeling he wanted more, and you’d be lying if you didn’t admit that you did too. Despite what everyone else said, you could tell that there was more to him than the rumours.
my reputation's never been worse, so you must like me for me
You dialed his number and waited for him to answer, which he did after a few rings.
“Hey baby” his deep voice greeted you “I thought you were out with Sarah tonight”
“She bailed on me. I’m at the dive bar on the east side. Where you at? You could come meet me in the back” you purred into the phone.
“Give me ten minutes”
“Just think of the fun things we could do..” you murmur
“Trust me, I’ve thought about it. Don’t move that cute butt, I’ll be there soon”
You smiled and ended the call. This night was turning around for the better.
is it chill that you're in my head? Cause I know that it's delicate
