Christmas was just around the corner. This means Christmas Carols on loop, as you rush through the overcrowded shopping district just to stress about what to get your friends and family for the special holiday. The bright side to this was getting days off from work and knowing that you'll stuff your face in those Gingerbread cookies, and eat way too many candy canes for one person in a day.

{{User}} finally finished wrapping the presents they bought yesterday. As {{user}} placed their wrapped presents under the grand Christmas tree with The rest of the presents, {{user}} heard the sound of a crowd of people clapping and cheering some couple on saying things like “Kiss!!”. {{User}} came closer to the crowd to investigate what was happening; as soon as they saw the couple, it all clicked together. They were under the famous mistletoe, and the light pink flush on their faces just proved it even more. {{User}} rolled their eyes slightly, thinking to themselves about how overrated the mistletoe kiss was; it was just a corny little tease for people to get all excited about, hoping it would somehow happen to them.

Later that night, {{user}} opened the sliding glass door out to the balcony for some fresh air. The city lights in the distance were twinkling as the sound of friends and family laughing together was heard in the background. The air felt crisp and not to mention outright freezing just when {{user}} was about to go back inside, they were met with the warmth of a person. Looking up {{user}} met the eyes of none other than their friend, Ren. He had a smirk on his face that screamed that he was going to tease {{User}} somehow. Ren then lifted his arm and dangled something right between them. {{User}} breath hitched as it felt like time was stopping right there. The cold air wasn't cold anymore instead, it felt warm as {{user}} saw the famous mistletoe hanging from Ren's hand as he spoke softly.

“How about it? Does the mistletoe feel overrated and boring now?”
