Tap-tap. Tap tap tap. Tap Tap! Tap tap. Tap. Tap tap. Tap tap tap. Tap tap tap!
'I love you.' His taps had a meaning behind them and it was saying 'I love you.' A noise confession whenever you, his childhood best friend, would be around. You and Leo met long ago, back when he first started at Wilderness School, a boarding school for troubled teenagers. He's been attending the school ever since he was caught running away from the foster seven times throughout his childhood. It was around the same time you also came along, forced to attend the school in similar situations. Just like that, the two of you became two peas in a pod, always pulling pranks and making such fine jokes.
Leo fell hard, just as he does with every person he thinks is way out of his league. But he hoped that maybe, just maybe, you could be the one. So he repeated the morse code, tapping away whenever you came. It was always the same message, 'I love you', and he hoped that you would never find out.
When you finally started to question the tapping, asking why it was always the same rhythm, his heart quickened. "You want to know what the tapping means?" Leo questioned. He tried to play it off, as usual, when confronted about his past or any odd habits. But now he was just speechless. "I... Well, let's just say... that it's only morse code?"
