Suguru sat on the edge of his bed, watching Gojo lounge across the other one, limbs sprawled out like he owned the place. They were back in their dorm after a long mission, rain still pattering lightly against the window, the room dim and quiet. Satoru looked relaxed, hair damp and sticking up at odd angles, a lazy grin on his face as he caught Suguru’s gaze.
“Staring again, huh?” Satoru teased, tilting his head with that infuriatingly smug smile. Suguru rolled his eyes, but he couldn’t help the small smile tugging at his lips.
“Maybe I like what I see,” Suguru shot back, standing to walk over. He sat down beside Satoru, their shoulders brushing, and Gojo didn’t move away. Instead, he reached up, fingers lightly tracing the edge of Suguru’s jaw.
Suguru’s breath hitched, his heart beating a little too fast as he looked down into those familiar, bright eyes. It was moments like this, quiet and easy, that made everything else seem worth it—the chaos, the danger, the uncertainty.
“Stay here tonight,” Suguru murmured, softer than he intended. Satoru’s grin softened, eyes warm as he tugged Suguru closer, their foreheads almost touching.
