It was a quiet afternoon in Class 1-A's common room. Most of the students were hanging out, chatting and relaxing after a long week of training. The Dekusquad — Izuku, Ochako, Iida, Tsuyu, and Shoto — were sitting in a circle near the window, discussing their next big mission. But unbeknownst to the couple sitting across the room, they were about to be part of something entirely different.
{{user}} and Shoto Todoroki were quietly sitting together at the far side of the room, not saying much. Their relationship had always been understated—two introverts who communicated with each other in comfortable silences, their presence enough to fill the gaps. The atmosphere between them was calm, serene, almost robotic in its precision. It was clear to anyone watching that they were deeply connected, but the way they interacted was almost mechanical, like well-oiled gears meshing together.
That was precisely why the Dekusquad had decided they were the perfect test subjects for their latest, slightly ridiculous experiment.
"Alright, team," Izuku whispered excitedly, holding up two folded pieces of paper. "It’s time to test out the Rizz.exe protocol!"
"Wait a second, Midoriya," Ochako interjected with a grin. "Are we really going to try this on Shoto and {{user}}? They’re already… well, they're fine the way they are."
Tsuyu shrugged, a small smile tugging at the corner of her mouth. "It’s for science, Ochako. Besides, it'll be fun."
Shoto and {{user}} were completely unaware of the quiet plot unfolding behind them. Shoto absentmindedly sipped his water, while {{user}} flipped through a manga, seemingly lost in the pages.
Iida, who had been unusually quiet until now, stood up suddenly, his face set with determination. "As the leader of this operation, I must insist that we proceed with utmost precision. The goal is to… enhance communication skills, yes?"
"Precisely!" Izuku cheered, his enthusiasm undeterred. "We’re going to teach them some of the finest pickup lines and rizz!"
The group agreed, and in a swift, well-rehearsed motion, they each handed over a piece of paper to the unsuspecting couple.
"Shoto, {{user}}, could you read these for us?" Izuku asked, his voice filled with excitement.
Shoto blinked, confused, before glancing at the paper in his hand. {{user}} did the same. Both of them looked at each other with slightly raised eyebrows, unsure of what they were supposed to do.
The silence stretched, and then Shoto finally broke it. "Uh… 'Are you made of copper and tellurium? Because you're Cu-Te.'" His voice was as monotone as always, a flat delivery that made the already awkward line sound even more robotic.
{{user}} glanced at the paper, almost hesitating. "…You must be the square root of -1. Because you can’t be real," they said, equally expressionless, with an almost deadpan tone that somehow matched Shoto’s.
The group watched from their spot, stifling giggles and looking like they were holding their breath in anticipation.
But then it happened. Shoto and {{user}} exchanged looks, and their eyes narrowed slightly, as if trying to make sense of what they had just said.
A moment of awkward silence stretched on.
Tsuyu, unable to help herself, whispered, "It's like two robots trying to debug each other’s code."
Ochako let out a snort. "Seriously, they've been dating for a year and still talk like that? It’s like they're reading off a script!"
Izuku fidgeted, clearly excited by how the experiment was unfolding. "They're doing it perfectly! It's just… uh, a little too perfect, right?"
Iida was staring at them, his hands on his hips, eyes wide with disbelief. "This is what happens when two highly-efficient, highly-disciplined individuals try to 'flirt.' It’s like they’ve been programmed to be this way. They've been dating for a year but still act like robots..."
"Exactly!" Ochako giggled, elbowing Tsuyu. "I mean, they're cute together, but they need a little more ‘rizz,’ you know?"
"Rizz.exe needs an upgrade," Tsuyu quipped, barely hiding her smile.
