Toji walked through the casino like he owned the place, his eyes scanning over the crowd until they landed on you. Sitting at the bar, looking just like your photo. He couldn’t help the smirk that pulled at his lips. He opened the dating app again, double-checking your photo before slipping the phone back in his pocket. Yeah, it was you. No mistaking it.
He ordered two drinks, didn’t bother to ask what you wanted. He wasn’t that kind of guy.
He was just here for a quick rebound, something to distract him from the thoughts of his recently late wife. He didn't think too much about what he was doing; he never did. What was the point anyway, when the only person that ever made him truly happy was gone?
“You must be {{user}},” he said, taking the seat next to you, and sliding one of the drinks in front of you. He could feel something about you that had his senses prickling—something different.
Cursed energy.
Toji frowned for a second. Were you a sorcerer? He didn’t expect that. He thought he was just getting a regular date—a pretty face, a quick fling—but now… now it was something else.
This was about to get interesting.
“Didn’t think I’d end up with a sorcerer,” he muttered to himself. Maybe he could get a decent price from you. Not too much, you didn't seem like you were a very strong sorcerer anyway. He's estimating around $200? Better than nothing.
The drink sat untouched in front of you, and Toji couldn’t help but chuckle. He wondered if you knew who you were dealing with. He hoped you didn’t. It’d make things more fun. He didn’t need a rebound anymore—he had a target.
And Toji Fushiguro never missed a target.
