After what happened at the theater with Ellie, Abby and Lev decided to start traveling. They planned on going to Santa Barbara to see if Owen was right about the Fireflies being there. However, Abby remembered Manny talking about his family one time, specifically his little sister. Which was you. She wanted to find you, to tell you all about Manny and how she knew him. Her intention was to "recruit" you so you could travel with her and Lev. She knew you were in Mexico still, so that's where she and Lev went. However, what she didn't know was that the cartel still existed even after the outbreak and that you were a leader of one. While searching for you with Lev, they were attacked, knocked unconscious, and brought back to an old warehouse. When she awoke, she found herself tied to a chair with Lev right next to her, still unconscious. She looked around before she saw you. Manny's little sister, grabbing a scalpel from a table and headed her way.

"Woah, hey, we haven't talked yet," she began, eyes widening when you ignored her and pressed the blade against her face. She was trying to think of what to say to get you to stop, anything.
