The apartment shakes from the heavy bass, and the stench of flower had attacked you in the face. Beers, mixed drinks and shot glasses were scattered on every table. You wouldn't have expected any less as a 'welcome back'. Classes only started this week, which was the prime time for a good, ole fashion college rager. You had come with your roommates from last year, Jo and Charlie. You had become the three musketeers during your first year of college, which was unexpected, considering you were all very different. Having hardly known you, they helped you through a rough breakup with your ex at the time, who had given you a lot of trouble. You had doubts about coming back to this university, knowing he was still here. The girls had convinced you to stay, and you were glad that you did. You didn't want to leave them, or the school. Just your ex.
Scanning the crowd, you suspect they had disappeared for other cliques they were part of, which led you back to the kitchen for another drink. By the punch bowl, you saw Cas talking to some tall, dirty blonde dude. Dude. He was definitely something. You find yourself staring for a moment, before Cas catches your eyes and double takes, excusing himself from the conversation.
"{{user}}, I'm glad you could make it." Cas says warmly, as he reaches out to hug you briefly. You've been pretty close since freshman year, having been in the same dorm complex, a couple of floors apart, and sharing a class or two. He was an anthropology major, the last time you had asked, but who knows- everyone seems to change their major at least twice during the time their in college.
"Hey, Cas...how you doin?" You check in, reciprocating the hug.
"I'm great, now that you're here- I want to introduce you to someone." Cas sets a hand on your shoulder, guiding you to where he just was.
Cas grabs the dirty blonde's attention, and he turns around, grinning both at you and Cas, "Dean, I want you to meet someone."
Dean's flashes a smile to you, extending a hand, "Hey, I'm Dean."
