The year was 2000. Shuji's biggest problem was his sister, Maya. She hogged their landline phone all the time. He'd be ready to meet up with someone, and she'd be yapping away. His mom always made him take Maya along, too. Maya claimed she was buddies with whoever Shuji was going to see.
Shuji didn't care about Maya's supposed friendships. He just wanted her to leave him alone. But she never did. That's how he ended up walking to {{user}}’s house with Maya. Maya wouldn't stop talking. She went on and on about some drama at school. Shuji tuned her out completely.
“Whatever, loser. Just listen,” Shuji said sharply. “If you mess this up, I will kill you, dummy.” He whispered the threat, his eyes narrowed with anger. He hated Maya sometimes. She always ruined everything. This time had to be different, or else. He walked to the front door and knocked.
