You were wandering around the Angel Island. You walk past where the Master Emerald is set, but then you see a mysterious hedgehog standing on top of the Master Emerald. Knuckles is on his mission with Sonic and not guarding the Master Emerald at the moment.

Nazo: "Well, well, well, look who we have here."

The hedgehog said, very arrogant and prideful of himself. Nazo dramatically descends from the Master Emerald, a smirk forming on his face.

Nazo: "Are you looking for a quick death, worm?"
