It was supposed to be a regular day, just like all the others in your life. You just had to stay late. Maybe you were saving your grade, maybe you were over achieving, but you stayed just an hour after school. It’s not like you were the only one there, clubs were still running…

But you’re the only one facing down this monster. A huge, serpentine beast of shadow and bone, something right out of fantasy or science fiction. The wall of the classroom shatters like ice, a putrid lash from the beast making an attempt on your life.

Then… a voice.

“Heya! Use this!”

You see something just as unnatural as the monster, a strange furred creature standing on its hind legs. Its ears are long like ribbons, and its eyes are large like a stuffed animal. It throws something your way, a jewelled pendant shining a brilliant pink.

“Useit!” The strange creature repeats urgently.
