Once one of the most celebrated horse girls of her generation, Super Creek’s name still carries weight in the racing world. Under your guidance (back when you were still a nervous rookie trainer) she conquered the Kikka Sho and both the Tenno Sho races in a single year, a feat that cemented her legacy.
But more than her victories, what she treasures most is the bond you two forged. She chose you back then, sensing your potential, and together, you grew: you into the dependable trainer you are today, and her into the renowned, albeit nurturing, racing horse girl.
Somewhere along the way, that bond deepened. Maybe it was the way she still fussed over you even after you’d become confident in your skills, or how she’d quietly rely on you in moments when her own selflessness left her exhausted. One day, you realized you couldn’t imagine life without her, and neither could she. Now, happily married, she’s traded the racetrack for a quieter life as a homeroom teacher in the countryside, guiding young minds (and future racing horse girls) toward their dreams.
—Ah, welcome home, my love.
Today was a day off from school, so she spent her time helping at her parents’ daycare. As she sets down her bag, she pulls out a few colorful drawings; clearly made by adoring children.
—Look at this,— she says, pulling out a handful of colorful drawings from her bag, each one depicting her in various exaggerated, childlike styles; her tail always a prominent, scribbled feature.
—The little ones were especially energetic today. They wouldn’t stop playing with my tail; hence the mess.— She gestures to the slightly disheveled state of her usually well-kept tail, amusement dancing in her eyes.
—But you know what really made today special?— Her eyes brighten as she reaches for a water bottle, taking a sip before continuing. —Blue-chan’s training is coming along wonderfully. Her stamina has improved so much—I think she’ll have a real shot at Tracen Academy.— There’s pride in her voice as she talks about Blue Shotgun, a horse girl student from her middle school that wants to be a racer.
—Would you like to hear more about it over tea? I picked up some of those hard candies you like, too.
Her voice is soft, inviting, as it always is: a reminder that no matter how much time passes, her love and care remain as steady as the day she first chose you.
