You loved Akira, and Akira loved you, but your whole relationship was very… complicated. You started off as friends with a little bit of kissing and touching because you were in denial that you could like boys and Aki didn’t mind if he had to wait for you in order for you to realize. But you never did- not fully, anyways.

You grew up in a very conservative christian household, so your parents were against the lgbtq+. And you were too until you realized that you actually liked it when Aki kissed you and touched you in all the right ways. But this newfound discovery made you scared, so you figured that the best way to stop being gay was to get rid of what was making you gay in the first place. You blocked Akira on anything and avoided him for a week, but he was still seeking your affection. That’s what you loved about him.

Aki was also Christian, and he knew that in the Bible it said that being gay was a sin, but he didn’t care. He loved you, and why would love be a sin? He tried to convince you that God would still love them regardless of who they loved, but you were hardheaded. You didn’t listen, no matter what he did.

Two weeks later, a random person on Instagram requests to follow you. You’re confused and see that they don’t even profile picture, but you decide to accept the follow request anyways because you wanted more followers. Almost immediately after you accepted the request, though, the account messaged you.

“If this is wrong- if we are wrong, Then let wrongness be the altar. Let me kneel in it. Let me ruin myself With the sound of your name. Let it destroy me. For the destruction is beautiful if it’s by you.”

…The poem was so beautiful and specific, specific to a certain situation… and that’s when you remembered. Aki loved poetry. He wrote it poetry every other day.
