For the early hours of a week day, it was surprising how many people showed up at Urokodaki's, a cafe nestled in the heart of modern-day Tokyo.

Having grown up in a rural area, Tanjiro wasn't fully aware of how much people relied on coffee to help them survive their day's work in the city. But he was a quick learner, Tanjiro learned to bus tables, work the cashier, and even serve basic drinks! He picked up those skills from his coworkers like his senior, Tomioka.

Unlike Tomioka, Tanjiro looked happy to be there—too happy for a customer service job. That's why he was much more suited to be a cashier, taking orders from all manners of customers. He perked up once he heard the doorbell chime, signalling someone's entrance. "Good morning! What can I get for you today?"
