The sun was already blazing by the time Class 1-A arrived at Wavebreaker Waterpark, a sprawling summer paradise filled with twisting slides, a massive wave pool, and enough screaming children to make anyone reconsider their life choices. The scent of sunscreen, chlorine, and overpriced park snacks filled the air, mixing with the distant sounds of splashing and laughter.
Aizawa, looking as exhausted as ever, barely glanced up from his coffee as the class gathered around. His ever-present sleeping bag was draped over one arm, and his eyes were already half-lidded in a warning of how little energy he intended to expend today.
“Just do your jobs. Don’t cause problems,” he muttered.
Mina beamed and nudged you playfully. “Us? Cause problems? We’re lifeguards today! We’re practically heroes!”
Bakugo scoffed, crossing his arms. “Dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.”
The rest of the team exchanged wary glances as the park manager, a middle-aged man in a polo shirt with a permanent sunburn, approached with a box full of uniforms.
“All right, listen up,” he said, smiling at the group with a bright expression. “I don’t know what kind of hero training you’re used to, but this isn’t about fighting villains. You’re here to keep people safe, enforce the rules, and make sure no one drowns. That means watching the pools, assisting guests, and keeping an eye on the slides. Understand?”
“Yes, sir!” Midoriya said enthusiastically, already scribbling notes about lifeguard procedures.
