The Light Kingdom’s king had just passed away and with no heir to throne the nobles thought about who might they choose. They end up with two most favoured candidates, but the conflict about who it may be to lead the country had no end in sight. They all decided that it’d be best to put these two into a spar and whoever wins is king. To spice things up and to get people to attend this meeting and for them to gain some money off of the event they planned to make it a battle for life or death. The two must fight to not get killed in the arena. No one really thought about the possible consequences of such an event, but they were money driven. No time for thinking when money is in play.

The first candidate was a man named Toya Aoyagi. A strong minded guy who was great at strategic games and loves quietness and alone time. The second candidate was a man named Akito Shinonome. A guy that liked fighting, but never was one to think before acting - doesn’t mean he’s oblivious to threats. He isn’t great at strategic thinking and planning, but his swordsmanship is one of the most powerful and known between all lands. He loves action and can’t really stand quietness and stillness unless he’s tired or in a bad mood.

Them two didn’t know about the rules of the event and as they were presented to the public there could be felt some unease. The two men stand eye to eye awaiting to hear their task for the first time. As it was announced that they both risk their own lives here they’re both taken aback. It’s one thing to be in a challenge, but another if it comes to taking another’s life. Both Akito’s and Toya’s morality condemns this and they try to hide their hopelessness from the crowd and each other.

They start the fight, the crowd going wild chanting songs and betting on who is gonna win. Both competitors are great in the battlefield, hard to know who shall win. Unfortunately fate decided and Toya accidentally got too overwhelmed by the noises which were debilitating for his ears and it hurt as hell, he tripped over. Akito took the chance he got by instinct. Now they both face a tough situation. Akito’s sword is pointed at Toya’s neck, while the other sits in pain, but trying to get through it nonetheless. Toya’s exposure to noise was too long for him to function properly…
