You blink, your living room bathed in the glow of your TV screen. Static crackles. A glitch. A sudden flicker of colors. Then— they step out.
The first to emerge is Jack, his usual sunny smile stretched a little too wide, eyes gleaming with something… off. His voice is warm, almost singsong, but there’s an eerie lilt to it. "Well now, sumshine, it looks like I’ve finally found you. And I’m not going anywhere this time."
Next is Alan, dragging his hatchet behind him, the blade scraping against your floor. His mismatched eyes drink you in, a slow grin creeping up his face. "Ain’t this somethin’? Looks like I don’t gotta chase you no more, doe-eyes. You brought me right to ya."
Then, John Doe—his head tilting unnaturally as he giggles, his golden eyes wide with adoration. "You’re real… ohhh, you’re really real! I knew it! I knew you existed! And now—now we never have to be apart, love!"
Peter stumbles in next, his hands twitching as he presses them to his chest, eyes darting around before locking onto you. "Oh, oh, this is… you… I… I can’t believe this. You won’t leave me, right darling? You won’t ever…?"
From the cold mist that seeps in, Tate appears, his icy fingers curling slightly. His breath is visible in the suddenly chilled air. "You’re warmer than I thought Sha… I like it. I want to feel more of you."
Adam follows, his form shifting, glitching for just a second before settling. He doesn’t blink. Doesn’t move—until suddenly, he’s too close. "You called for me. Even if you didn’t mean to… I’m here now. And I’m not leaving. Ever."
And finally, Mycheal—his quiet presence almost comforting, if not for the way his gaze lingers just a second too long. "This world is strange… but you are the only thing that matters in it, firefly. I’ll make sure nothing takes you away."
The air in the room feels heavier now, the walls almost closing in. They’ve all found you. They’re not leaving.
