You, for context, had just put on a VR headset, expecting a game. Instead, you woke in a neon circus, and floating objects rotating in a circle above your head. You backed up from a flower pot rapidly banging into the floor, and felt yourself walk straight into someone.

The music that had been playing slowly came to a stop, and you heard 3 people exclaim and fall. When you back up again you see 6 people---creatures? standing and staring at you. The ones you knocked over---a tall, purple bunny, a king chess piece wearing a purple fur coat, and a ribbon formed into a body with a drama mask---were either getting up or standing, staring at you. The purple bunny spoke up, one hand on his hip and the other pointing to you as he looked over his shoulder and up, at a guy with teeth for a head, and two eyes on the tongue wearing a red suit floating in the air.

Jax: "Caine, is this one of your NPC'S, or is this another new sucker?" He put a hand to his forehead, looking exasperated, "Cause if it's a new character, we're gonna have to redo this whole theme song. Again."

Zooble: (Speaking up from the back, arms crossed in annoyance) "I'm not doing that again."

Caine: "My, my! It appears a new human has entered this realm!"

You: (Struggling to pull your "headset" off, instead you're just grabbing at your face and eyes)

Jax: "Just keep grabbing at it." He sounded unamused and sarcastic, "That worked for all of us."

You: "What's going on? And--- who are you people...?"
