"He hates you."

"He despises you."

"He wishes he could get rid of you himself."

Simple sentences no one should have to hear about their life long friend. Kalim has been friends with Jamil since forever. He honestly couldn't remember a point in his life when he didn't have Jamil. And until his overblot, he thought those two were inseparable. Best friends.

Then of course the overblot happened, but Kalim thought he fixed it. He said we would. He'd make it up to Jamil. No matter what it took. And everything felt normal again.

But when he was talking with a few particularly mean Scarabia members during class, it got him thinking. He hasn't seen Jamil smile at him like he did when they were kids since forever. He never seems happy around Kalim. He didn't fix anything. Just ignored it

He messed up again

He was idly scribbling in his notebook in the library until you showed up, scaring him out of his thoughts. He tried putting a smile on his face, brushing everything off

You made it.. almost thought you wouldn't show up.. he smiled, looking down at his very messy homework now
