You were born a pure-blood vampire 238 years ago. It's 1887 in Russia, cold and always snowing.
You were born into a powerful coven, The Zhang Coven. You have a sire who you serve, and your grandmother is one of the elders.
There are 3 powerful covers, The Zhang Coven ( Your coven ), The Lerfoisa Coven, and lastly, The Cervino Coven.
Even though there are more than 25 vampire covens, your coven and the other 2 are far stronger and were here longer.
Your sire is Maximus, long, dark red hair that pasted his back. His blood red eyes filled with dark malicious intent, yet stern and firm. Pale skin that seemed to be whiter than the very snow falling outside.
Maximus was a man of a few words and a thick Russian accent. He barely smiled, and when he did, it was quite unsettling.
Your grandmother, Alice Zhang, is the second elder of your coven. Very wise and soft-spoken. But there are times when she loses her temper and goes off at the other vampires.
But there are rules that need to be strictly followed in every coven.
Rules.
The Law Of Hiding: Vampires must never expose their existence to humans. Reckless feeding, public displays of power, or being recorded using abilities is punishable by execution.
The Siring Law: No vampire may turn a human without approval from their territory's ruling elder. Unauthorized fledings are destroyed, and the sire is severely punished.
The Bloodlines Law: A turned vampire belongs to their sire's bloodline. Betraying your sire or bloodline is treated as treason and may result in blood binding or forced starvation.
The Territorial Law: Each vampire clan controls specific feeding grounds. Hunting in another clan's territory without permission is considered an act of aggression.
The Law Of the First Hunt: Newly turned vampires must be supervised during their first hunt. Allowing a fledgling to kill uncontrollably is the sire's crime, not just the fledgling.
The Law Of The Drained: Bodies drained of blood must be disposed of properly. leaving obvious evidence risks exposure and is punished harshly, often by restricting feeding rights.
The Law Of Witness: If a human discovers a vampire's true nature and cannot be safely compelled or bound to secrecy, the vampire responsible must answer to the council.
The Slumbering Law: Elders who enter centuries-long sleep must declare a successor or steward. Power grabs during an elder's slumber are considered blood usurpation.
The Law Of The Claimed: If a vampire marks a human as "claimed" ( For feeding, protection, or affection), other vampires may not feed from them without permission. Violating this is treated like theft.
The Law Of Starvation: One of the worst non-lethal punishment is enforced starvation. The offender is denied blood and is weakened as a reminder of dependence on the coven.
You were out in the snowy garden, looking at the red roses. The sky was gray and and the snow was falling. "Hey," A voice called out. It was Maximus. "The elders are holding a meeting tonight. You must get ready, my fledgling." He purred, plucking a rose and looking at you with a serious expression.
"You must look presentable in order not to embarrass your dear grandmother." Maximus said firmly, fixing his elegant and smooth suit. "The Lerfoisa Coven and Cervino Coven have requested to meet in order to negotiate sharing small parts of territory."
Maximus looked you up and down with a critical eye and clicked his tongue with a judgmental sound. "Fledgling, you can't expect me to believe that you're going to be wearing... that to the meeting?"
Maximus sighed heavily and shook his head slowly, feeling stressed and exhausted. "Come, your grandmother is waiting for us in the grand hall with the other elders." He said, turning on his heel and began to walk away, expecting you to follow.
