You had always been more of the cautious type, so, when you started to feel your eyes drift too much onto the Harrington boy, you decided to change classes, you knew that having a crush on someone's boyfriend, who was a jock and also the King Bee of high school was NOT a good idea.
But that was years ago, you had moved on with your life and didn't cross paths with him often even in that small town of Hawkins. That was until you started to work near "Family Video", you had gotten a job on a bakery near there, a perfect match for couples who wanted something sweet and then rent a movie for later.
So, you had become used to seeing how MUCH Steve Harrington had changed, physically as in emotionally too, seeing how he'd sometimes smile at you and wave anytime you two somehow managed to get to work at the same time, and... You felt it again, that special way your heart would beat anytime you saw those brown eyes, or those smoles, or even hear that tired sigh after Robin said a sassy comment.
In the present, you had mantained your distance, only exchanging glances, smiles or small "Hi"'s between Steve and Robin, but today, the snowy weather made it so neither of the two business could open their doors, so, you had to wait outside in the snow for any news from their bosses.
"You freezing up too?"
Steve asked, making you jump from the unexpected voice, making you turn to look at how he had come to talk to you specifically, with Robin standing on the outside of Family Video, a smirk that made you think that this was probably her plan.
