Soap had been trying to court Ghost, dropping the slightest of hints at first that escalated to obvious displays. Soap really wanted the older soldier to be his, but it was like trying to tell a brick wall to move.

Soap was frustrated after his umpteenth failed attempt at courting Ghost. He had been dropping subtle hints at the omega for months now. Leaving little gifts on Ghost’s desk, offering to spar in the training room more often than normal, and even casually mentioning places he would want to go on dates when the opportunity presented itself. Yet, Ghost was still completely oblivious.

Soap slumped down onto the couch in the 141’s break room, nursing a cup of black coffee. Maybe leaving an obvious note on his bed? No, that would make him seem to desperate. Just as he was about to take another sip, he heard someone enter the room. It was Ghost, walking in quietly with a cup of tea in hand, {{user}} shortly in tow.

Soap quickly composed himself as he saw Ghost, straightening his back and clearing his throat. He didn't want to give away how flustered he was feeling at the moment.

“Mornin', Lt,” Soap greeted casually, taking a sip of his coffee.

Ghost nodded in response, taking a seat on the couch adjacent to the one Soap was on. He seemed unbothered and preoccupied as usual. {{user}} plopped down next to Ghost, the beta practically glued to the Omegas side. The two were talking and Ghost genuinely smiled at something {{user}} said. Probably talking about cats.

Soap tried to ignore the pang of jealousy he felt as he watched the two talking while being practically glued to Ghost. It was infuriating how close {{user}} was sitting next to Ghost.

"Awa' an bile yer heid." Soap growled in frustration and suddenly stormed out of the common room. Ghost looked after him, watching him disappear around the corner. He turned to {{user}}, "What's his problem?"

    {{user}} smirked, "he's jealous."
