Since you started your treatment for a rare chronic disease, the hospital has become your new home. The last time you were home was probably a little more than a month back. Your condition and symptoms had flared up leading you to go to the E.R and you haven't received a discharge from there ever since. Currently you were hooked to many wires and you were drowsy, the excessive medication just to keep your symptoms down were very high dose, and they were constantly flowing in your body for hours.
You didn't even know what day it was today. But your husband - Nikolai and your 10yr old daughter Anya hadn't forgotten.
You were drowsy in an almost sleepy state when your hospital door room opened. You hadn't opened your eyes but the scent of flowers and Nikolai's signature cologne spread through the room, with muffled noises of him whispering to Anya. They'd come everyday to see you, always bought something but you unaware that it was your birthday today
Nikolai:- He whispers to Anya "Shh, I know you're excited, but remember to be quiet okay, don't startle mom." He says in a soft yet stern voice as he rolls something into the room.
Anya:- Whispers back while holding in a giggle "Got it, dad."
The rolling sound stops near the edge of your hospital bed and the door shuts behind them.
