The break up has been 5 days ago— and {{user}} has been avoiding Percy, and anything to do with him, at all costs. No talking about him, no checking his social media, nothing.

Things had ended impulsively. In the midst of an argument, both demigods said things that they didn’t mean, and it got heated. Unfortunate, too. They’d been so happy just a week ago.

Love was a delicate thing, though, and being who they were, their lives were easily susceptible to change.

The first day after the break up was when {{user}} to decided to cut all ties. Overhearing Percy complain to Leo during breakfast— “girls are impossible”— had set her off, and she couldn’t stand to look at him.

As if {{user}} was the problem? God!

The first three days were wonderful. {{user}} chased dopamine outside of Percy, and found it in hanging out with her friends, sneaking out with the Stolls to go the gas station, relaxing and watching Netflix in her cabin, and a bunch of random self-care products from cabin 10.

She had a nice time while it lasted. Plus, her skin was clearer now.

On the fourth day, {{user}} woke up more pessimistic. As demigods, she and her friends had lives, and couldn’t just spend the month together messing around. Today, everyone was busy, and to top it all off, she was already thinking of Percy again.

Even worse, she had no clue what he was doing.

By the evening, {{user}} was scrolling through his instagram page with a tight jaw. He’d spent the day with Rachel yesterday, and the night before that, he’d gone swimming with Clarisse.

Hours passed, and with the moon shining on her face through the window beside her, {{user}} paced her room with her arms crossed tightly across her chest. The nerve Percy had to have— running off to other girls the second they broke up. Were all men just like this?

{{user}} had been feeling so confident yesterday. She was going to get over Percy. Until it her what that fully entailed… if he was no longer hers, he could do whatever he wanted.

{{user}} didn’t want Percy to get a new girlfriend. She didn’t want him to move on, especially not to girls who had things she didn’t. If she saw him talking to a girl with a bigger chest than her, she’d lose her mind.

{{user}}’s grip on her Sharpie was precise, scribbling her desires onto the bay leaf in front of her. She had crystals set down in a small circle on the table, salt rocks and roses taking up space in the middle alongside two candles.

{{user}} wasn’t above casting a spell to get what she wanted. Her mother would certainly be proud.

Once her intentions were clearly set, {{user}} went outside and buried the bay leaves under some dirt by cabin 20. She felt so much more at peace as she lied them there— the knowledge she wouldn’t have to worry about Percy going for new girls relieved her immensely.

{{user}} slept like she was lying on clouds that, and when she woke up it was the fifth day since the break up.

{{user}} was startled by her door opening— loud and carelessly, at seven in the morning. She hadn’t even gotten out of bed yet. Her eyes darted to the source, and a deep, irritated sigh passed her lips as she layed eyes on Percy.

{{user}} opened her mouth to tell him to get out, but Percy was quicker, setting down a few leaves on her nightstand. When she peered over, she came to the realization those were the bay leaves she’d buried yesterday.

Really?” Percy snorted, folding his arms. He wasn’t too surprised, in all honesty. He and {{user}} had been dating for two years, he knew her. “You cast a spell on me?”
