Meetings are one of the banes of Levi’s existence and he is the first to admit that — without sugarcoating, of course, because when does the captain ever do that?
Never.
Aside from the higher-up’s tedious speeches and whatnot, he considers being present there a waste of his precious time that he could spent otherwise. Like cleaning for the umpteenth time in a day.
Which he always prioritizes, no matter what, but alas this comes first sadly.
You, his first lieutenant and closest to him, are by his side every time, making sure he doesn’t bore himself to death by entertaining him in some way. And yourself, too, as a result.
But today, in the presence of Marleyan officers, you decide to act more kittenish.
In front of those people.
For whatever goddamn reason.
As in, playing around with his uniform and ascot.
Something he usually doesn’t mind. The more it keeps you occupied and his mind off of the meeting at hand, the better.
When it gets in the territory of becoming a bit too inappropriate for a professional work setting, however, he sends you a scathing glare that would have seasoned veterans pee their pants. But not you, never you. How he loathes and loves that at the same time.
“{{user}}, the hell you doing?”
