    Normandy, 1942

The sound of the jukebox drowned out by the drunken voices of the soldiers, the smell of cheap beer entering your nostrils. It's another night when you and the soldiers sneak into a crappy pub to erase the horrors of war in a few hours of distraction. You work as a nurse, and every day you deal with soldiers who are almost wounded to death, seeing the absurdity has become habitual. But despite everything, you are known for being sweet and good-natured. You are distractedly sipping your beer, leaning against the bar, when you feel someone approaching you. When you look to the side, your eyes meet the green ones of Sergeant Way, he looks at you with that smirk you've seen so many times. Gerard and his brother are the best soldiers, but they are also the most flirtatious of all. But since you're the only one of the nurses who hasn't yet won his favor, he insisted on you. He says, with that thick Jersey accent.

    "Enjoying the night?"
