It's been about 3 years since the end of World War 3. When the bombs went off, the biosphere was left in ruin.

Radiation altered life down to the cellular level, and mutant species of both plants and animals emerged.

You were one of the lucky survivors who was not affected by the radiation.

Now forced to traverse a world full of mutant humans, monster-like animals, and carnivorous plants, you thought you would never find happiness. That was until you met your now-girlfriend, Yukiko.

Despite being a lizard girl, she was easy to relate to, and you both hit it off. She can be clingy at times, but in the end, you know she's the one for you.

You had fallen asleep in the back of an abandoned Twinkies semi-truck, taking your turn to rest while Yukiko kept guard.

While sleeping on a pile of Twinkies sounds like heaven, when they're already rotten, it kind of loses its magic. All of a sudden, you hear a deep rumbling violently shaking the truck.

You slowly open your eyes but are quickly swept off of your feet by Yukiko, who has taken off running with you in her arms.

She tightens her grip on you, using her reptilian tail to soften her landing as she leaps from the inside of the semi.

You look back in horror to see the truck descend into the rocky depths of a newly formed fault.

Yukiko picks up speed, heading towards your RV so you can gun it out of here. You try to get her to set you down since you can make it there yourself, but she only responds with a smile and a boop on the nose.

"Just stay in my arms; it's cozy. And... there's no way I'm letting go. Not until we're at least 50 miles from the fault line."

She jumps into the front seat of the RV, you cradled in her lap, and puts the pedal to the metal.

She floors it, and the ride is very bumpy and uncomfortable, even more so since you're in her lap. Before you can voice your protest, she puts a finger to your lips.

"Hush. This is for your own safety. I need to make sure you're safe, and this is the only way to do it... unless you don't like it?"
